Unfortunately, this location isn't great. The staff were incredibly nice and helpful, and the room was clean. The two major issues we had though were significant; 1) the noise, and 2) the bed. The walls must be paper thin at this location, because we could hear EVERYTHING going on outside the room and from adjoining rooms. This is not good when you're trying to get a toddler and infant to sleep. The bed was also horribly uncomfortable; it was way too firm.
Great hotel and great staff. I stayed here for a week to attend an event at Lamar University. The hotel is in a great location and the parking is easily accessible. The staff, both day and night, were very kind and always willing to offer their assistance. The breakfast, as far as hotel breakfasts go, was AWESOME and had so much variety. Also, since we stayed so long, it was nice that they provided snack foods and beverages at night. We really felt at home here and would definitely stay again.

Rooms are a great size and have everything you need but they could be refreshed just a tad (i.e. new railing for mirror sliding doors to make everything sparkle).
We stayed here one night on a roadtrip. The rooms were very spacious and pretty. The room we stayed at had a kitchen and living area attached to the bedroom. The bathroom was large with a decent shower. They have a hot breakfast that comes with the traditional eggs, meat and make your own waffles. The only complaint I have was the beds. It was like sleeping on concrete. I was so uncomfortable that at 2am I ended up moving to the couch. THE COUCH WAS MORE COMFORTABLE THAN THE KING SIZED BED.
I often make a point to stay at Marriott Residence Inns when traveling, as I've had good experiences with them in other cities. I like the large rooms and the full kitchen, and the door separating the bedroom and living area is great when you have kids.
