Front gave us a first floor room ,but ice machine was on 2nd!
NOT a good place to stay. The staff is unfriendly, my toilet keep getting stopped up, the TV kept losing reception and they didn't have HOT coffee in the mornings. I would be checking out a day early but all the hotels in the area are booked so I'm stuck here. I'm really surprised since this is a Marriott property.
Unfortunately elevator not working, front entrance at street under construction caused damage to our trailer.

They recently upgraded their lobby and breakfast which looks modern and nice. This particular location has free breakfast, equipped w/ high speed internet , a gym room, an indoor pool (currently not open to guests). The room I stayed felt muggy, but it did have a dehumidifier so it helped a little bit. Good hot shower, but has low water pressure coming out. Front desk ppl were friendly and helpful.
This is a tough one because I wanted to give it a higher rating. My room was very clean and nice and cool and dry. They were running a dehumidifier and unlike many other rooms I've stayed recently in Texas, the A/C actually made it a cool enough temperature. The staff was friendly and cordial. The reason for the low rating then are the following: Hot Water at 730am was pretty much non-existent and came in scalding hot bursts throughout an otherwise pretty cold shower. Breakfast was not very good (I mean, Waffles were great, but the sausage had no flavor). Finally, just as I was leaving breakfast, a huge (close to 2" long) cockroach walked out from under the buffet and in to the lobby. I'm really glad I didn't see it until after I ate and slept. Anyway, I know that's a temporary issue and once addressed, this is a nice hotel at which I would consider staying again.
We are staying in town for flood claims and have to hop hotels quite a bit and take what we can get for each night. Compared to many other rooms available, Fairfield was a lovely reprieve. Very quiet, very clean, very comfortable.
