I try to come to Mads whenever I'm home from college. Great feel and the food hits the spot with the beverage
Good amount of TV shows with several games on. Music was distracting and somwhay annoying, but that is more of a personal preference at the choice of music. They have lots of specials and events that go on. Where the place falls short is the staff. The bartender did not know any of the beers on tap. She didn't check up on me or my guest and when we finally did get someone to help us, they gave us the wrong beer. When the got the right beer, the forgot they had already served us and brought a 2nd beer. Instead of letting us keep it since it was their mistake, the bartender went and gave it to a friend of theirs sitting at the bar. I will never go there again.
The food is good. The band was amazing, especially the saxophone. The only thing that could ruin an experience like this is a bartender who's more interested in her boyfriend than the customer physically waving at her for 10 minutes. Definitely a 5 star experience once this young bartender moves on to her next employment experience.
ALWAYS good food!!! Even with a limited menu just a few days after a hurricane. Frankie (and staff) never disappoints!!!
