I used this location for storage unit rental, trailer rental, and purchase of moving supplies. The staff is friendly and helpful, but it takes forever to get anything done. Plus I had termites get into my bedframe and boxes while in the non climate control storage. Luckily they did not have enough time to do serious damage as I only rented the unit for 3 months.
Staff was very helpful in trying to figure out the size trailer I needed.
Wonderful staff and great service!! Stopped in for a problem with wiring harness installed the day before at the U-Haul location @ I-10 and College in Beaumont. The problem being they didn't even hook up my turn signals, put no heat guard on the wire, and shoved more wires under my rear bumper! Phillip the manager helped me, my wife, and son back on the road, and at no charge! Great place and better people. I will never use another U-Haul in Beaumont except this one by Tractor Supply.
I wish I could give zero stars. I would not recommend this location to anyone. I rented a trailer to move to Florida last week. On my way there, my trailer had a blowout in the middle of nowhere on a bridge in Louisiana. I called roadside assistance and was informed I would have to be towed off of the bridge before the trailer tire could be repaired. When it was all said and done I waited for 8 HOURS on the side of the road. I missed my appointment with my realtor, I missed a job interview, and I missed work because I could not get back to TX in time. When I called and spoke with the GM, Phillip Jarmon, to see what he could do for me he was the most unhelpful and discourteous person I have ever dealt with in my entire life. He refused to let me leave the trailer in Florida even though I informed him that the technician cited "improper tire maintenance" as the reason for the blowout and that I did not feel safe driving the trailer all the way back to TX. He also refused to give me a reimbursement on the trailer. I am not sure when customer service went out the window but this Uhaul location clearly does not care about its customers or their business. I am beyond unsatisfied and am glad I am moving out of state so I will never have to use this company again. Please call Mr. Jarmon and give him all of your complaints, concerns, and criticisms. Maybe you will have better luck than I did.
