The office has a live person answering your calls that is wonderful to know.
I took my husband over there because they wanted to explain the back to work program. We waited two hours and then the lady told him he could try to go back to work under this program. The lady told him no matter how much he made he would still be able for his benefit. Well that was a big fat lie. Social Security sent us a letter and informed him he had to pay back 18000.00 because he made to much money and he was not eligible for benefits.
They take way to long for anything! And everything!
They take a long time to do the smallest thing its been 2 mths. I still haven't got my second interview for my son ssi and y'all are right they don't like answering there phone
The best time to go to office is after 1:00pm. For that I give them a 5 Social Security
Took my mother 74 here about 4 yrs ago all we needed was her photo ID due to her being ill for a while off and on and other issues we never went back til recently. Before I brought her I called and request to speak to two employees that handled her case before and I thought that would be no problem, man was I wrong. The lady that answered the call asked what she could help me with after I said forward me to the two individuals she asked again what can "I" help you with. I said again to forward me to either of the individuals since they worked her case and my mom was familiar with these two individuals. Just in case we had any issues then my mom would have known them and had already built up some relationship with them. So the lady asked again what can "I" help you with, I told her go ahead and just call me a supervisor. Mind you I already called and waited 8 minutes for a person to pick up in the first place. SHE HUNG UP! Ok! So I called back and after being booted out of the system since I called already I am assuming. I bypassed the system and then while I'm folding clothes just let the phone ring. After another 17 mins of that in booted me out and directed me to the main government branch I guess in Austin or Washington. So we went there I wanted the Asst. Manager to give me a call to discuss the situation... that message and business card left with the security went unheard from. Thks U.S. government for such skilled employees. So after I brought my 74 yr old mother there and sat for 2 hrs then after a review of her case a new agent said she wasn't able to do anything for her and she had to go through other means. Then as I had the nerve to say they're some idiots working answering the phones and what happened she decided to cop an attitude, "no body here is an idiot, they have tons of calls and probably had to move on since they are really busy". As I repeated that they're some idiots that answer the calls and hung up on people, she tried to basically tell me not to say that again. I reminded her of the country I live in and freedom of speech and my opinion is that. By the way excuse the hell out of me, but I didn't know they get paid by how many calls they take each day. Google really needs a rating system to have a 0 stars for the sorry service imaginable. That SS office might as well have the SS as a logo since they are a bunch of Nazis up there. They need a complete overhaul upper management on down.
Is listening to the people concern.
