Bad experience that day 11/19/17. Service wasn't great. My sister came down from Houston with her son and family was meeting his new girlfriend for the first time. We drove from Lake Charles, my other sister, niece and nephew and myself ; to enjoy a meal together. My sister drink wasn't made to her liking, my other sister fish was dry, my neice chicken looked under cooked, we had to ask for our beverages, my sister sprite tasted bad. Lord it took forever for our food. Just didn't enjoyed.
Our waiter was very courteous, sweet as pie, and very helpful and patient. The food is always good. The restaurant is clean. Restroom is clean. 5 stars!
I think this place must pass for fine dining here in Beaumont because it was packed with dressed-up people on dates and kids clearly going to homecoming. That was pretty fun to see, and contributed to a long wait. Once seated, I only had to wait ten or so minutes to see my waitress and another ten or so minutes to get a beer and glass of water. After I got my water, I went to the restroom, which was a wreck. Water (or maybe urine) all over the floor with a lot of trash mixed in. When I came back to my table, my water glass was gone. I guess it got bussed up while I was gone. It was quickly replaced, and my beer followed a short time later. Still awaiting food...
Cheddars scratch kitchen is one of the more popular restaraunts in Beaumont. The food is good and not very expensive. It is located right off the highway and in front of a movie theater. Their drinks are very good and affordable. Expect a wait on weekends in the evening. You will not be disappointed!
There's a good selection of items for whatever mood you're in. This is some of the best food for the lowest price in Southeast Texas with an environment that you would be happy to bring your date on. The wait is much better than that of Longhorn Steakhouse, along with prices as well. I would highly recommend both restaurants of course. Cheddars has been a favorite of mine for over 15 years.
