I bought a Male from Solely Solomon December 2015, My male will be 2 this fall, He is a great companion, He is Friendly with all my family members and even unfamiliar friends. He does not bite hard just to help himself to move from hand to hand. The breeder is also friendly and helpful and knowledgeable of the breed.
Lilly. Once at home from airport with him he was very bitey. So we gave him time to settle in. Going on 4 months or more now and there is nothing we can do with him. He just turned out to be a nasty bird that bites all the time. We now did research on the Eclectus only to find out from other bird breeders that Eclectus do not make good Human companions. And that a well reputable breeder in North Carolina no longer breeds them because of this issue. I've contacted Lily many times only not to agree on this issue. So do your homework carefully first with the Eclectus as a pet that something that we did not do that we wished we would have. Disappointed in Pennsylvania
