Ok i went to this court and the lady at the window E charged me $100 dolars more than what she gave on the receipt since I cheked the receipt when i was back at home( since my boss was going to take care about it) in houston and not at the moment; so i called back that afternoon it was closed and called today again and I am waiting to see what happens on monday when i will call back i just suggest to all to check your receipt if you go or been at this court since this happened to me it can happen to you I hope its just a mistake and I can get my money back im really sure what i got charged and also cause i only had $400 on me at that moment I hope this gets clear since my boss is only giving me what the receipt says; I did get to speak by phone today with the lady at the window she said she was going to check the role and that she will send it over the mail if she overcharged me so i will check on monday and i will let another review of how everything came out end.
Security guards are very helpful with directions
What a judicial system we have! Talk about a total CLUSTER!
First of all, Im the one who requested a trial before the judge and Im the one who SHOWED UP for the original trial date! If anyone should be charged with "failure to appear" its the officer who didnt show up! I was there and got sent away! Ive received no letter or any communication whatsoever about the new trial but then get a WARRANT notice 15 DAYS after it was mailed!
Then yesterday I go to my mailbox and find a big yellow card that says WARRANT FOR YOUR ARREST!! I look at the card and see its postmarked March 9th 2016...Why has it taken 15 DAYS for me to get this WARRANT notice?!! And where the Hell is the LETTER??!!
Its not enough that everyone who enters the building is seen and treated as some hardened criminal but then WE also have to take the brunt of their stupidity, inefficiency, and out-right lack of consideration! Its not as if waiting or looking out for this letter is the only thing on my agenda! But the problem is its my word against theirs....what proof do I have I didnt get the letter, but what proof do they have it was sent?? Its not like letters are sent in any "official" way....no signature required, no tracking or delivery confirmation. Basically they just lick a stamp like its a thank you card!
This all took place back in Nov of 2015 and its now Mach 25, 2016 and Im still waiting for "the letter" to come with the rescheduled trial date. I called back in January to ask what the hold-up was but the lady I spoke to said the new date had not been set and again she reiterated that "I would receive a letter" when the date is reset but its now late March and still Ive received no letter.
I pled not guilty to a very minor triffic citation and then requested a trial before the judge. Finally 2 months later I receivd a letter with date & time of my trial. I arrive at the municipal court before 8AM for my scheduled court date thinking finally I can put this absurdity behind me, but after being allowed to sit there 45min Im told my trial will have to be rescheduled because the officer that issued my ticket was out on a "field training exercise" and couldn't be there....Now Im quite sure the officer wasn't just made aware of his field training duty at 8am that morning so at some point I could have been notified but its obvious that only "thier" time (meaning the courts) is of any valueable importance.
Hate going to these places
